AAHNN is me. An artist, a book nerd, a fur mom – and soon to be real mom (yikes).
Me. I’ve been married to my husband for almost 3 years. We are expecting our first kid in December who will more than likely be just as nerdy as we are. When baby arrives I will have even more book buying opportunities and may even branch into some kid book reviews. Hopefully this kid loves books, but if not, books will continue to be my brief escape from reality. Currently we have two fur children. A Border Collie/Austrailian Shepherd mix who will be 5 on Halloween, and a German Shepherd who will be 4 in January.
Me as an artist. I got my degree in graphic design, but am interested in way too many things to limit what I do. So be aware, I range from spray paint to crochet, and am always looking for new ways to challenge myself and learn new things. So far I have been documenting everything through my Instagram @an.artist.has.no.name but hope to use this as an outlet to share more about the things I am currently working on.
Me as a book nerd. I’ve always loved books, but in the last few years it has reached another level. Bookstagram turned me to the dark side. BUT they have books so I’m happy. Bookstagram also led me to create another Instagram account – @a.nerd.has.no.name – specifically for books. I am terrible at talking about things I’ve read. My recommendations go along the lines of “Read this now!” and when asked the typical follow up question of “Why?” I usually respond with a “Oh, I don’t know. It was just so good. Just READ IT!” Definitely something I need to work on, and hopefully will, by posting short, spoiler free reviews accompanied by favorite quotes and pretty pictures.
